Piwik Issues
I was working on Piwik and I realized that I’m not getting enough information about the people visiting our sites.
We used to get information about: -Desktop vs. Mobile -Device -Browser and version of browser -Operating system When I look at the Visitor tab none of that information is showing anymore. I can look at individual users and see the resolution of their device but there is no place where this is all aggregated.
I looked on the Piwik demo site and I see that they allow for Devices and Software. http://demo-log-analytics.piwik.org/index.php?module=CoreHome&action=index&idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday#/module=DevicesDetection&action=devices&idSite=1&period=day&date=yesterday
Is this something we can turn on?
I may also want to add a google analytics code.
I noticed that GA tracks age and demographics. I would like to be able to do that on the ASC website.
Comments:
- Adding this plugin broken the piwik site. We are going to look into moving the sites to google analytics. We will need to keep the piwik server for a year (October 2016) so that old info is available.
We will need to talk through sites that are not easy to add the GA code to (non-standard sites) (Eva Dale - Oct 28, 2015)
